Austin D. Hooser
Austin Hooser is an associate with Gjerset & Lorenz, LLP. Mr. Hooser’s practice focuses on representing hospitals in regulatory and transactional matters, including Medicaid reimbursement programs. His experience includes assisting Louisiana hospitals in all aspects of their participation in a new hospital directed payment program including advising hospitals regarding their current program participation and the impact of potential changes to the program. Mr. Hooser also assists in drafting the documents necessary for hospital transactions, in the operation of hospital non-profit entities, and in drafting of hospital-physician agreements.
At Texas A&M University, Mr. Hooser studied accounting and auditing. Before joining the team at Gjerset & Lorenz, LLP, Mr. Hooser represented clients in asbestos litigation and in multidistrict litigation arising from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
